Clear the mind

Empty your busy head onto a page

When everything is circling at once, putting it on a page can make room.

Write it all down, big or small. It stays on this page.

This board helps you empty your head onto a page, then sort it. Type what is on your mind, one thing per line, and choose what each line needs.

What does the board do?

You write freely first. Then the board turns each line into a small card, and you choose one of three things for it: do it next, schedule it or ask someone, or let it rest for now.

The summary shows your three groups and picks the first item under Do next as your starting point. You can copy it as text or print it.

How do I use it?

  1. Type everything on your mind, one thing per line. Do not edit as you go.
  2. Press Sort it.
  3. For each line, choose Do next, Schedule or ask someone, or Let it rest for now.
  4. Press Show my summary.
  5. Look at the line marked as your starting point. Do only that one first.

If you change your mind, go back to edit. Whatever you decide, keep the first step small.

Tips for real Malaysian days

Do this before you leave the office, on the sofa after the children are asleep, or at a mamak table while you wait for your teh tarik. Five minutes is plenty.

Put the family WhatsApp group tasks on the list too, along with the Raya or Chinese New Year shopping, the car service and the parent who needs a lift to the clinic. Some lines will belong in Let it rest for now, and that is allowed. Not everything needs action tonight.

What the board does

It gives your worries a place to sit so your head is not holding every one at once. The deciding and ranking stay with you.

If writing things down brings up distress or painful memories, it is fine to stop. Talking to a doctor or counsellor is a good step, and our support page lists where to start.

Your privacy

Nothing you type is sent anywhere. It stays on this page in your browser, and Clear everything removes it straight away.

What next?

After your list is sorted, use the slow breathing pacer for a minute. At the end of the week, the weekly reflection sheet helps you notice what went well. If your evenings are crowded, plan a gentler one with the evening wind-down planner. Our calmer mind hub has more.

Common questions

What should I write in the box?

Write anything that is taking up room in your head, one thing per line. Bills, a message you owe, a worry about your parent, buying belacan for Sunday. Big or small, tidy or not. You do not need full sentences, and nobody else will read it.

How do the three groups work?

After you press Sort it, each line gets a choice: Do next, Schedule or ask someone, or Let it rest for now. Pick one for every line. The summary then shows the three groups and suggests the first item under Do next as your starting point.

Is what I write saved or sent anywhere?

No. Everything stays on this page in your browser. It is not stored or sent to a server, and Clear everything removes it at once. Closing the page also clears it. If you want a record, use the copy or print button.

What if my list makes me feel worse?

Seeing it all can feel heavy at first. Pause, take a slow breath, and sort only the first three lines. If your worries feel too big to carry, talking to a trusted person, a doctor or a counsellor is a good step.
